Arbor Day Tree Planting at Ohio State Reformatory
The City of Mansfield Shade Tree Commission has chosen to celebrate our 20 years of being designated as a Tree City USA, with a very special Arbor Day Celebration at the Ohio State Reformatory (OSR). I’ve lived in Mansfield all of my life. I spent my childhood exploring the gardens and feeding the ducks of Kingwood Center, watching plays at The Renaissance Theatre and staring in awe at the historic Bissman Building. But now, I’m an intern at the Mansfield/Richland County Convention and Visitors Bureau. I’ve learned so much about my hometown and all that it offers since I started my internship and it only enhances my childhood experiences. Seeing these local attractions through the eyes of visitors who travel great distances to explore these sites made me want to know more about their history. ...

Close to 7,000 people will descend upon Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course the weekend of May 9th and 10th to participate in Tough Mudder, an obstacle course challenge that is the ultimate test of strength, grit, stamina and teamwork. BibleWalk Adds New Exhibit at Museum
Amazing things continue to happen at BibleWalk, Ohio’s only life-size wax museum. The Walk of The Parables, BibleWalk’s newest exhibit, opens to the public March 21, 2015. The Walk of Parables consists of 39 original oil paintings, each four feet wide and seven feet high. The paintings are the work of noted religious artist Mark Pedro; and are thought to be the first series of paintings depicting the parables of Jesus ever undertaken by a single artist. They were formerly on display at Christus Gardens in Gatlinburg, Tennessee....
