Kingwood Center Gardens’ Garden Discovery Day

Kingwood Center Gardens’ annual Garden Discovery Day on Saturday, May 7th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. will have many things to offer the community. Featured will be Kingwood’s Spring Plant Sale and Edibles Sale with perennials, annuals, vegetables, herbs and more, and the Market in the Garden with a wide array of vendors. Our convenient “Plant Check” will be available to hold your purchases until you are finished shopping and enjoying the beautiful gardens.
Coffee and donuts will be available for the early birds, and Ed Pickens’ Café on Main will be cooking up tasty lunch fare. Visit Kingwood Hall and enjoy floral arrangements created by the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs. For the children we present Peacock Playhouse, an exciting experience where children will learn about peacocks and how they live, enjoy hands-on crafts, face painting, and MORE! Held in Kingwood from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., there will be a $5 per person fee, CASH ONLY, while supplies last. Also for the children, the traditional Maypole Dance in the Kingwood Hall Forecourt will held twice, beginning at 10 a.m. and again at 11 a.m.
General admission to Garden Discovery Day is $5 per car and may be applied to a purchase of $25 or more in the Garden Shop or in Kingwood’s Edibles Sale in the Exhibit Hall, or it may be applied to the purchase of a Kingwood Membership.

Grounds: 9 am – 7 pm daily
Greenhouse: 9 am – 6 pm daily
Kingwood Hall: Self-guides tours Monday through Friday 11am to 2pm / Guided tours are offered every Saturday at 11 am & Sunday at 2 pm. (Please call to confirm availability).
Kingwood Center is closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
