Obama to make campaign stops in Akron, Mansfield on Wednesday

President Barack Obama will make stops in Akron and Mansfield on a campaign swing Wednesday through battleground Ohio.

The Obama for America campaign is billing the events as a chance for the president to lay out strategy for rebuilding the economy “from the middle out,” with the focus on middle-class families.

The event in Akron will be held at the John S. Knight Center, 77 E. Mill St. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for the event. Tickets are required for entry. The president is expected to speak about 4 p.m.

Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning at 9 a.m.  Monday at the West Akron Obama for America field office at 1706 W. Market St. in Akron, at the Knight Center and at the campaign’s field office in Twinsburg at 7995 Darrow Road.

Details on the Mansfield event have not yet been announced.
