Christmas at Kingwood
View the decked halls of Kingwood Hall and the magical, mesmerizing, outdoor Trail of Lights Christmas at Kingwood (Now through Dec 30, Thur-Sun, 3-8pm). Kingwood Hall has been decorated by partnering garden clubs and volunteers. Enjoy the Tree Walk of trees and wreaths by local businesses, a special greenhouse display, and live music.
Mansfield Playhouse
Come see Elf the Musical Jr at the Mansfield Playhouse (Dec 7-8, 14-16). Fans of the beloved holiday film will love this youth performance and musical rendition of the family comedy about Buddy the Elf and his adventure to find his birth father and return the spirit of Christmas to New York City.
Malabar Farm State Park
Experience Malabar Farm State Park during Candlelight Holiday Tours (Dec 7-9). Tour Louis Bromfield’s Big House while it’s decorated for the holidays and enjoy fresh baked cookies and hot cider. You may even get to see Santa himself. If you miss the candlelight tours, you can still see the decorations during the regular house tours on Saturdays and Sundays.
Christmas Tours at Oak Hill Cottage
This beautifully restored, Gothic Revival home has been decked for the holidays. Come out for the 34th annual Christmas tours at Oak Hill Cottage on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. from now until December 30.
Renaissance Performing Arts Association
Neos Dance Theatre presents a 1940s Nutcracker (Dec 8-9), a twist on the classic that pays tribute to the golden age of film, fashion, the industrial age, WWII, and American Christmas traditions. Set in Mansfield, Ohio, A 1940’s Nutcracker presents this timeless tale in an original production with dazzling visual effects.
Finally, ring in the season with the world-class Mansfield Symphony Orchestra at their Holiday Pops Concert (Dec 15). An enchanting, community favorite, this performance will include contemporary and classic holiday songs and everyone’s favorite carol sing.
