“Wizard of Oz” performance at Kingwood Center Gardens

The Hampstead Stage Co. will present “Wizard of Oz” at 6pm in Kingwood’s courtyard.  Two performers put on the entire, one-time-only show.

Join Dorothy in this classic adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.  Dorothy Gale thinks she is lost forever when a terrifying tornado crashes through Kansas and whisks her far away to the magical Land of Oz. She must follow the yellow brick road to Emerald City and find the wonderfully mysterious Wizard of Oz. With her companions the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion whom she meets on the way, Dorothy embarks on a strange and enchanting adventure to find her way back home. Through this play, we hope to instill a sense of teamwork and confidence.

Geared for ages 5 and up.

Admission/Parking to the grounds is $5 per vehicle / Admission for the play is $4 per person

Grounds: 9 am – 7 pm daily
Greenhouse: 9 am – 6 pm daily
Kingwood Hall: May 8 – September 30

• Self-Guided Tours Monday-Friday from 11am-2pm, at no additional fee.
• Guided tours are $3.00 per person, ages 6 & under free.
• Guided tours typically offered Saturdays 11am and Sundays 2pm. (Times and availability subject to change.)

Kingwood Center Gardens is closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
