Tuft Your Pet at The Mansfield Art Center

Join us at the Mansfield Art Center and tuft your own pet! This 6 hour class will introduce students on how to operate a tufting gun which will include how to position, angle and use consistent pressure on the backing fabric. Students will also learn to cut, glue and shave their own tufted piece all while working on a 30x30in frame.
Tufting is the process of passing thread (yarn) through a primary base using a tufting gun. A tufting gun is a mechanical motorized machine that easily cuts and places the yarn through the backing cloth.
Frame, cloth, yarn, backing and tufting gun are all included in the cost of this class.
Please email a picture of your pet to instructor, Tony Sansalone, at least 3 days before the class begins. Tony will simplify your pets image in Photoshop and will have everything ready for you to start when you walk in the door!
