Bird Needle Felting Class

Join us for a fun and creative beginner’s needle felting class, where you’ll learn to craft your choice of a Spring Chick, Red Cardinal, or Bluebird—no experience necessary! This class will introduce you to the basics of needle felting a three-dimensional figure, including how to create a core shape, apply an outer layer of color, shape wings on a flat surface, use a felting stick for finer details, and wrap wire to make bendable legs. As time allows, you can even personalize your bird with a scarf or a charming spring bonnet. By the end of class, you’ll take home a finished project, perfect for adding to your spring décor or gifting to a friend.

Needle felting is the process of using a single barbed needle to repeatedly poke alpaca and wool fibers, causing them to interlock and form shapes. The techniques you’ll learn in this class will also help you create other three-dimensional felted figures in the future.

The class fee includes all materials and the use of felting tools. Additional supplies will be available for purchase if you’d like to continue felting at home. Come learn a new skill and bring a feathered friend to life!
