Fall Kickoff
Fall is such a popular time in Mansfield/ Richland County that we start some of our festivities an entire month early! Mansfield is known for its haunted locations and one of the most famous being the Ohio State Reformatory, filming site of The Shawshank Redemption. This year Hollywood’s special effects genius, Robert Kurtzman, is taking over the Paranormal Penitentiary that officially kicks off on September 23rd. You might want to bring a change in pants because this will be a terrifying evening. It will be your responsibility to assist the Slayers of the Damned in capturing a violent inmate and monsters in order to return them to their cells. This place is literally the Guantanamo Bay for monsters and madmen. Stop by another one of Haunted Mansfield’s sites, The Renaissance Theater, for a funk-rock music performance by Here Comes the Mummies. You won’t want to miss all of the excitement that this month has to offer.
