The Mansfield Art Center offers a variety of classes for all ages that include glass blowing, tufting, and macrame to name a few of the options. This month, learn the art of glass blowing when you sign up to make a Pair of Love Birds (Feb. 2 and Feb. 9) or a flower (Feb. 16 & 23), heart paperweight (Feb. 17), and a whimsical owl (Feb. 24).
Learn to Knit at Alpaca Meadows in this two-hour workshop that introduces the basics of knitting as you learn to make the Easy Mistake Stitch Scarf (Feb. 24).

Women’s Work: Reshaping the Abstract Narrative and Samantha Schneider Root Beer Float: the Simple Pleasures of Childhood exhibits continue on display until February 25th at the Mansfield Art Center.

The Teddy Bear Concert: Peter and the Wolf (Feb. 18) at the Renaissance Theatre’s 166 venue showcases a contemporary, and interactive, retelling of Peter and the Wolf and features musicians from the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra performing with experienced local actors. The concert, geared to children ages 2 to 10, offers an interactive element as well as a relaxed environment and safe sensory-spaces.

The area offers plenty of fun activities for the family at the Buckeye Imagination Museum, Kingwood Center, and Ohio Bird Sanctuary.
