Winter Fun is in full swing at Snow Trails. The annual Big Air Competition (Feb 9) will take place under the lights at Mount Mansfield. This event is open to all skiers and snowboarders and is free and open to the public to watch. The 58th Annual Ski Carnival (Feb 24) at Snow Trails expects up to 5,000 visitors for a weekend of thrilling races, crowd-pleasing events, food, and live music. The Snowflake Loft at Snow Trails will also feature live music throughout the month including The Martini Affair (Feb 2), RockHouse (Feb 9), Lt. Dan’s New Legs (Feb 16), and Swagg (Feb 23).When you need to get the kids to turn off Fortnight, these events are the perfect excuse. Children from ages 2-8 will love the Music & Movement at Little Buckeye Children’s Museum (Every Friday) and Art Class at Little Buckeye Children’s Museum (Every Thursday). Make a ceramic owl mug at Family Art Night (Feb 1) at Mansfield Art Center, the perfect project for artists of all skill levels. Meet creatures of the air up close with Avian Encounters (Every Saturday) at Ohio Bird Sanctuary. Big laughs are guaranteed at the Teddy Bear Concert: The Emperor’s New Clothes (Feb 10) at The Renaissance Theatre. This month, the Renaissance Theatre brings you the number one tribute to Fleetwood Mac in the world, Tusk: Tribute to Fleetwood Mac (Feb 2), a Mansfield Symphony Orchestra: Russian Spectacular (Feb 9), and the crowd-pleasing comedy of Tammy Pescatelli with Rocky Laporte and Josh Sneed (Feb 16). Mansfield Playhouse will stage a most unromantic comedy: Love/Sick (Feb 8 & 9, 15 & 16, and 22 & 23 ).
