The Gill House
Built in the first decade of the 20th century by one of Galion’s founding families, the Gill House was designed by a nationally-recognized architect. The 6,000 square foot house’s original owners, Bloomer and Nellie Gill, were associated with the early automobile industry and were visited by family friends Thomas Alva Edison and Henry Ford. Each year, the Gill House welcomes visitors for tours, historical talks, art happenings, prom pictures, and community events.
The Gill House is operated by Preserving Galion, Inc., which can provide additional information regarding the city’s outstanding collection of historic resources.

Haunted Testimonials & Tidbits: Footsteps, laughter, physical contact, traveling shadows and full body apparitions have been witnessed by both visitors and volunteers.
The Gill House also regularly opens its doors for paranormal hunters from around the US and Canada. The house’s growing reputation for paranormal activity has resulted in online videos that have received tens and hundreds of thousands of views.
What to Expect: A general tour of the home will be given to participants and known hotspots and paranormal occurrences will be pointed out. Guests are then welcome to proceed with their paranormal investigation. A representative from the Gill House is on premises for the entire stay.
Hours, Pricing & Contact: Weekend investigations are $50 per person to investigate from 6pm to 2am. Weekdays available by request. A non refundable deposit is required which will be applied to the total price of the investigation when they arrive.
