At the Ohio Bird Sanctuary, visitors are able to enjoy seeing birds up-close within our Bird Display Area as well as in our walk-through songbird aviary. Daily keeper talks, scheduled programs, and special events allow visitors an opportunity to see birds outside of their enclosures as well as ask questions and take pictures.

Groups are always welcome to visit the Sanctuary! Guided tours can be scheduled in advance (fees apply).

Tours: Come learn about the mission of the Ohio Bird Sanctuary and enjoy a guided tour of the Bird Display Area and visit  the songbird aviary. A Live Bird Presentation in the Education Center or Treehouse Classroom can be added.

Special Notes About Group Tours

• Tour Groups cannot exceed 25 individuals.  If more than 25 individuals are coming, you will need to schedule two separate tours. Depending on staff availability, the two tours may be able to be scheduled concurrently.
• Tours can be scheduled Tuesday- Saturday. Time and availability may vary.

Raptor Up-Close Program:  Come enjoy an informative two bird of prey presentation that can be tailored to your group! The two-bird presentation can take place inside our Education Center or outside in our amphitheater. Included with this program is free admission to the Bird Display Area.

The Ohio Bird Sanctuary offers a quiet meeting space in a natural setting. The Education Center Building has a rustic feel with a stone fireplace, pine paneling, and open beams. The building was renovated in 2015 with all new amenities. Please note that all food must be prepared off-site and brought to the sanctuary. Catering may be used. There will not be a refrigerator or freezer for you to use at the sanctuary. Also, parking that is in close proximity to the building is limited to 20 regular parking spaces and 2 handicap spaces. If your group will need more parking thank this, additional lots are available but will require some walking.
