Malabar Farm Foundation
The Malabar Farm Foundation was founded in 1993 to provide resources in support of Malabar Farm State Park. The Foundation is also dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of novelist and farmer Louis Bromfield, founder of Malabar Farm, in the fields of sustainable agriculture, ecology, literature, and the arts.
In 2018, the descendants of Louis Bromfield transferred ownership of the copyrights to Bromfield’s voluminous writing to the Malabar Farm Foundation, thus insuring that income generated from his books will be used to support Malabar Farm and to educate the public about Louis Bromfield, winner of the 1927 Pulitzer Prize for fiction. The Foundation funds projects at the Malabar Farm State Park, primarily funding restoration and preservation of the Big House, including art work and furniture.
