Ohio Plein Air Society (OPAS) – 20th Annual Competition – Ohio Plein Air Society is an organization that embraces outdoor painting in the French Impressionists tradition. This year we are holding our 20th Annual Competition in Richland County. For three days, Sept. 21-23, 2023, artists will converge on Richland County, painting landscapes, rural scenes, historical sites, and cityscapes. The Competition will be open to the public on the grounds of the Mansfield Art Center from 10 am – 2 pm, Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, for our Wet Paint Show. We will also hold a Quick Draw contest, where artists will be painting on location from 10 am – 12:30 pm. Our awards will be presented at 1:00 pm.
