Make a Warm Knitted Cowl for Beginners at North Lake Park
February 17 @ 5:00 pm
Have you ever wanted to learn to knit? If you have tried and failed or are a complete beginner, local fiber artist Ginger Stoops can help. In this class, you will learn both knit and purl stitch. This cowl is freeform and perfect for men or women. You can wear it around the neck or over the head for a warm addition to your winter wardrobe.
The cowl is knitted with bulky #6 or doubled DK weight yarn and is perfect for beginners. All yarn is provided, and we will have needles and other necessary equipment for you to borrow. If you wish to bring your own needles, this project uses size 13.
Cost: $5
Age: 10+
Class limited to 15, so be sure to preregister to hold your spot. Call the Parks Department at 419-522-9801 to reserve your spot. Participants must pay first to be registered for the class.
