Inmate Art Show at Historic Ohio State Reformatory

We are welcoming the Inmate Art Show back to The Ohio State Reformatory of the first time in years. The show will feature art created by the inmates at Mansfield Correctional Institution (as well as other institutions around the state) and will include paintings, sketches, canvas, baskets, and other mediums. The art will be available for sale to go towards the individual inmates commissary funds so that they may purchase food, toiletries, or additional art supplies to keep the art enrichment going!
A self-guided tour ticket ($30) will gain you access to the show. While you are here, be sure to walk through our museum areas and view the art that was created by inmates while incarcerated at the Ohio State Reformatory. Allowing artistic impression was an important part of the reform process and helped to keep the inmates creativity flowing, their hands and minds stimulated in a productive way, and reduced the amount of trouble they got into.
There will also be a booth selling crocheted bears and all the proceeds from the booth will be donated to St. Judes.
