Hudson’s Duck Drop 2024

Hudson’s Duck Drop is back for 2024! All proceeds from this year’s event will again support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio.

Please plan to join us July 20, 5-9pm, as we drop 500+ ducks from Shelby’s Main St. Bridge into the Black Fork River to race to the finish line at the Parrot Head Pub Patio. The drop will be held at 8pm. The family-friendly event will include kids games, prizes, a food truck and live music

In 2023, Hudson’s Duck Drop dropped 580 ducks and raised $6k for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio.

Last year was the first year for Hudson’s Duck Drop, and it served as a powerful reminder that we are never truly alone in our grief. It was incredible to hear Hudson’s name spoken by so many – and to hear the stories of others and their experiences with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). It was truly a celebration of life and love.

If you aren’t familiar with our story, on July 24, 2018, we welcomed Hudson Lee Curren into this world. We were only able to celebrate one birthday with him before he passed away on Aug. 31, 2019, but we know that his sweet laughter echoed through heaven as he watched us drop those ducks from the bridge.

We are so grateful for the memories created during last year’s event and the lasting impact on the lives of others through the funds raised for RMHC. Hudson’s legacy will live on through these acts of kindness.
