Halloween at The Phoenix Brewing Company

Being housed in a former mortuary, Halloween is one of our favorite holidays. This year you can celebrate two ways! In-person at the Phoenix on October 31 and virtually for the OCBA’s Ale O’ Ween.
Celebrate all day in costume at the Phoenix on October 31 with the costume contest being held in the beer garden from 7 pm to 8 pm. Our spooky judges will select three final contestants with final judging being held at 8:30 by the Acoustic Super Friends. In the event of inclement weather causing ASF’s performance to cancel, Phoenix staff will complete the judging on their behalf.
And don’t forget to enter the virtual contest hosted by the OCBA! All you have to do is take a photo of yourself in costume at any Ohio Craft Brewers Association member brewery OR at home posing with a can, bottle, crowler or growler from an OCBA member brewery and then post that photo to Instagram using hashtag #AleOWeen on or before Saturday, October 31. Don’t forget to tag the brewery in your post too!
The OCBA will judge all IG entries and give out prizes for the best costumes and runners-up in the following categories: Beer-Related, Couples Costumes, Face Paint Artistry, Phoning-It-In, Super Scary, and Timely. The OCBA will also pick a Best in Show from the above categories and send the winner a stainless steel Drink Beer Made Here growler as well!
