Clay Lantern
May 23 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
In this class you will learn how to use slabs of clay to craft a simple box. The walls of this box can be carved or cut out of to make windows for light to escape. This creates a fun and unique pattern for light to escape and illuminate the space around the lantern.
These lanterns can be left plain, or they can be decorated using our colorful underglazes. In addition to colors, they can remain natural and bare or coated with a clear glaze to give them a shine!
The glaze date for this class is June 6th, two-weeks after the making of the piece!
