Charles Mill Welcome Back Weekend & Solar Eclipse

Friday, April 5 

5-7pm           Traveling Program & Craft – Look for our traveling program staff on the golf cart as they travel through the camp areas stopping at campsites with 2024 event information and a fun craft kit!

7:30-8:30pm Family BINGO – Meet at the Messerly Recreation Center for an evening of fun and games!

Saturday, April 6             

10am-12pm  Solar Eclipse Painting for Adults – Meet at the Messerly Recreation Center to paint a solar eclipse landscape with Linda Goodman. $15 per person. All materials provided, online registration required at https://mwcd.ticketleap.com.  

2-3pm         Galaxy Craft for Kids – Meet at the Messerly Recreation Center to learn about space and make a galaxy jar to take home.

4-5pm         Solar Eclipse 101 – The solar eclipse will be happening on Monday, April 8! Meet at the Messerly Recreation Center to learn about the eclipse and what to expect.

7-9pm         Wagon Tours – Take a wagon tour of the park and learn about the campground, plus enjoy information about the upcoming solar eclipse. Meet at the Messerly Recreation Center.

Sunday, April 7       

1-2pm         Tie Dye T-shirts – Make a colorful and unique creation in the grass near Messerly Recreation Center! T-shirts will be available for purchase, cash only. Shirts will be $10 each, youth small to 3XL. Sizes are first come, first served. *Limited Edition Solar Eclipse Design*

3-4pm         Space Junk – Discover what is floating through space and make a bag of your own space junk to enjoy! Meet at the Messerly Recreation Center.

5-6pm         Solar Art for All Ages – Use the sun’s power to make a unique piece of artwork! Meet at the Messerly Recreation Center.

7:30-9pm      Campfire & Stargazing – Relax by the campfire and learn about a variety of constellations. Bring a snack to share and enjoy a special campfire treat! Meet at the Messerly Recreation Center with your own camp chairs.
