Artistic Jazz Orchestra: The Art of the Big Band

There is nothing quite so unique to modern American music as the “Big Band.”  Mansfield’s own “Big Band,” the Artistic Jazz Orchestra, led by Paul Martin, is set to return to the Renaissance Theatre on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 7:30pm to once again demonstrate what truly makes the magnificent sound of the “big band” so incredible! The sound of the roaring trumpets, the velvet trombones, the smooth saxophones, driving percussion and bass, the masterful piano, and heartfelt, emotional vocals…  it is enough to make the spirit jump for joy!

Featuring many staples from the American Songbook and your favorite big bands, we will also spotlight special arrangements from local writers, including our own maestro himself, Paul Martin.  Once again, we will also be treated to the superb vocals of Kelly Knowlton, as only she can vocalize!
