Arlene Shrut Masterclass Residency and Concert

The Juilliard School faculty member and world famous opera accompanist/coach, Dr. Arlene Shrut, will present a lecture “Successful Auditions” at 3pm 5/27/16. Successful Auditions empowers the career-bound singer to perform professional and enjoyable auditions. The class covers topics such as the “audition package,” background research, the audition notebook, collaborating with the pianist, and the “Before/During/After” checklist. A public masterclass will begin at 4pm and will include conservatory and professional opera singers from across the state. Both are free and open to the public to observe. There will be a concert of all participants the following Sunday 5/29/16 at 4pm in the Conard recital hall (Within Riedl Hall). The concert is free and open to the public.
