AirPower History Tour
August 24, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until August 28, 2022
The sights, sounds, and stories of World War II aviation will come to life in Mansfield when the B-29 Superfortress “FIFI” and the B-24 Liberator “DIAMOND LIL” land at Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport, accompanied by a T-6 Texan and a PT-13 Stearman. The P-51 Mustang “Gunfighter” will also be making an appearance. The event is presented by the Commemorative Air Force, which brings its AirPower History Tour to airports across North America each year. Visitors will be able to view all aircraft up close, purchase rides, and tour the B-29 and B-24 cockpits when the aircraft are not flying.
The aircraft will be staged at the Main Terminal ramp, Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport, 2000 Harrington memorial Road, Mansfield.
Access to the ramp is $20 for adults, $10 for youths age 11 through 17, and free for children age 10 and under. Rides may be booked in advance at AirPowerTour.org where additional information about the event may also be found.
