A Field of Monsters

A Field of Monsters is a community art project running Sept. 4-Oct. 31 primarily in the downtown Carousel District, Central Park and the new Imagination District. Something fun to do with family or friends and no artistic skills are required.
A work day is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Aug. 10 at The Phoenix beer garden underneath the tent, rain or shine. Just come, sit down and bring a used landscape painting and paint and brushes for some fun with others doing the same thing.
Anyone can participate. Drop off is 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Aug. 23-24 outside in the beer garden at The Phoenix Brewing Co., 131 N. Diamond St. Preregistration is required at http://mansfieldohio.art/.
“A Field of Monster Project is the creation of art derived from the monsters, those living in Richland County have experienced it, be it psychologically or sociologically, and create conversations within the community”. This is a project of the Richland County Development Group Art Sector with many active community partners. The project is multifaceted and open to all ages. This year The Phoenix Brewing Company is acting as the open gallery, while Two Cousins Pizza will be the high school, junior high and and grade school gallery.
Storefronts will be utilized to display pieces of art and also create a walking tour.
