Calling all 2014 Tough Mudder Ohio teams! The Mansfield/Richland County Convention & Visitors Bureau invites event participants to “Tell Us About Your Team” for a chance to win t-shirts and a grand prize spot on a local billboard.
Simply click here to enter the contest or go to Mansfield Tourism’s Facebook page to enter. Tell us your team’s name and any other tidbits like how you got your name, a story from the event last year, how you train, or other cool stories about your teammates. Each week, the CVB staff picks a team that stands out and shows Tough Mudder spirit. Weekly winners get t-shirts to train in and those posting their photo are entered in the billboard grand prize part of the contest.
“With all the success of the Tough Mudder Ohio event in Mansfield in 2013, we continue to hear great stories from people about their teams, their day on the course, and now teams are challenging others to enter this year”, stated Bureau President Lee Tasseff. “Last year we thought it would be fun to bring that energy to life, create a bigger buzz, and offer to make the winning team famous or infamous…It worked! A team of Mansfield City police officers entered the contest and their photo was chosen to appear on our Welcome Tough Mudder billboards around town. That could be YOUR TEAM this year!”
So snap a creative shot of your team training or pick one from a previous Tough Mudder event in one of your wild outfits and upload it now. Naturally, the photo must be “public friendly” to be considered for the grand prize and you can read other details on the contest page. Deadline to upload your photo is March 31.
Tough Mudder Ohio, a 10-12 mile obstacle course event, will be held at Mansfield Lahm Airport on May 17 & 18, 2014 and has an anticipated weekend participation of 10,000+ people. “The “Tell Us About Your Team” Contest encourages local (and not so local) teams to get excited about being in Mansfield, Ohio and to get teams talking and having fun”, said Kim Miers, CVB Marketing/Meetings Director.
