Learn Something New in 2025

Join Ghost Hunters’ Steve Gonsalves, Dustin Pari, and Kris Williams at the Ohio State Reformatory for a day of paranormal excitement! Explore this iconic site, featured in The Shawshank Redemption, at the Ohio State Reformatory Ghost Event on January 18. Highlights of the event include a Meet & Greet, Presentation, Photo-Op, and Investigation.

Plan Breakfast with the Birds at Gorman Nature Center on January 18. Enjoy a light breakfast and then set your sights on spotting local bird species with other bird watchers.

Sign up for a fascinating Behind-The-Scenes Greenhouse Tour at Kingwood Center (January 21) and learn about the plants it houses, the history of the building, and what’s being propagated during January. Advance registration is required.

Brush up on random facts and trivia and participate in the monthly round of Taproom Trivia (January 21). You’re bound to have a few laughs and learn something new.

Take one of seven tours offered at Biblewalk, the only wax museum in the state. Learn about key scenes from the Bible, stories from the Reformation, or the collection of rare bibles on display, or Museum of Woodcarving.

Get Your Craft On

The Mansfield Art Center offers a variety of year-round classes in a variety of mediums including the popular glass blowing classes.

During January workshops, Kingwood Center offers winter landscape painting and table arranging with fresh evergreens.

Let’s Get Physical!

Join your best friends or make new ones at a New Year Yoga Flow at Hickory Vines Winery (January 4). Your reservation cost covers your spot on the yoga mat and a small drink.

Visit the Relaxation & Meditation Classes offered every Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Kingwood Center Gardens. You’ll learn a variety of modalities that include guided meditation, journaling, singing bowls, breath work, music, percussion instruments, and grounding exercises in nature.

Challenge yourself through the parkrun Mansfield 5K weekly. This free, non-competitive timed event welcomes runners or walkers of all skill levels to meet every Saturday for fun or as part of your training program.

Attend the Children’s Hike: Winter Wonderland Hike at Kingwood Center then warm up with a fun craft and story (Jan. 25). Pre-registration is required.

Theater, Art & Live Music

Sawyer Brown brings their chart-topping music to the Renaissance Theatre on January 11th followed by Grammy Award winners and Gospel Hall of Fame inductees, Take 6, on January 18.

Based on the 1951 Disney film Alice in Wonderland and the novels The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll, Disney’s Alice in Wonderland JR, takes the stage on January 17, 18, 24, 25 at 7:00 pm and January 26 at 2:30 at Mansfield Playhouse Youth Theatre.

Enjoy live music from various artists including the McIan Duo, Mason Share, Avenue Blue, Cameron Montgomery, and Jason Allwood at The Phoenix Brewing Company on Friday nights.
