Ohio Haunters Association (OHA), a non-profit group of Halloween Enthusiasts and Haunted Attraction Industry professionals and amateurs, is debuting an all-new convention at the historic Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio from May 17th to May 19th, 2019.
This convention is designed for Halloween and Haunted Attraction enthusiasts as well as all members of the Haunted Attraction Industry but is open to the public. The convention serves multiple purposes for the Ohio Haunters Association; to help strengthen the haunt community around Ohio and the country, to spread our love of the Halloween season through charitable actions and, to create a hub for networking within the industry.
Ohio Halloween & Haunters Convention 2019 will feature a trade show floor with over 40 vendors with products ranging from arts and décor to costumes, special effects makeup and props. There will be a hearse and haunt vehicle show, Q&A Panel with Industry leaders, 30 hours of educational classes, Reformatory Ghost Hunt, Costume Party, and visits to three local haunted attractions: Blood Prison, Lessons In Fear, and Trail of Nightmares.
The Haunted Hydro is also hosting the first competition of their 3rd season of Monster Make-Off on Saturday, May 18th, 2019 at the convention. This is a makeup effects competition similar to the SyFy Channel series “FaceOff”.
Midwest Terror Tours has arranged a pre-convention bus tour on Thursday, May 16th, 2019 to Hudson Haunted House in Hudson, Ohio; Hauntville in Elyria, Ohio; and The Haunted Hydro in Fremont, Ohio.
A portion of the proceeds will be going to the Mansfield Reformatory Preservation Society.
