MANSFIELD, Ohio — Saturday was a good day for a plunge into ice water, electric shocks and climbing through mud.
At least it was if you were at the Tough Mudder competition in Mansfield.
Teams made their way through the more than 10-mile obstacle course, climbing over 12-foot walls, through thick mud — even running through clouds of smoke.
It’s a team effort, and while some participants are competitive, the goal for most is just to make it through in one piece.
Several of our own Fox 8 staffers took part in the event as part of the Super 8s team.
The hard work was for a good cause: the Tough Mudder supports the Wounded Warrior Project, which funds services and programs for injured service members.
