Ohio Bird Sanctuary
Get up close with several different species of native songbirds, owls, and raptors, that due to an injury can no longer survive in the wild. These birds permanently reside at the Ohio Bird Sanctuary as ambassadors for their species. Make sure to bring good shoes for a walk after you’ve seen the birds as you can hike the nature preserve through marshes and old growth forests.
Malabar Farm State Park
Malabar Farm State Park has more to explore than you may think! Over 900 acres includes the country estate of Louis Bromfield where Hollywood stars Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall were married. Walk through the barn and visit the animals, ride a farm wagon, explore the caves on the Butternut Trail or hike the many trails. Climb to the top of Mt. Jeez and get a breathtaking view of the rolling hills of the Pleasant Valley.
