As soon as you step on the grounds, you’re surrounded by thousands of twinkling lights strung through the trees and wrapped around every corner of the historic estate. Inside the mansion, every room glows with festive décor and elegant detail on three floors. Between DLX and Warehouse, downtown Mansfield nails that balance of refined and real.
Weekend Part Two
If the weather takes a turn or you want something inside, Richland Carrousel Park is the perfect switch-up. It’s indoors and way more fun than you might expect. Honestly, the colors and music are an instant mood boost. I’ve taken my nephews and niece here, and it’s impossible not to smile. It’s nostalgic in the best way. The kind of simple fun winter weekends are made for in Ohio.
After a few spins on the carrousel, warm up with a cozy drink from Relax, It’s Just Coffee downtown. Their seasonal lattes are always worth a stop. If you’re gluten-free like me, you’ll definitely want to grab one of their macaroons.
Before heading home, make a little detour south to Bellville for some local shopping at Rustik Market. Between the small-town setting, warm lights, cozy scents, and shelves full of rustic and modern farmhouse décor, and gifts, you’ll spend your afternoon here easily. Every corner feels curated, and it’s impossible to leave without picking up at least one Christmas gift.
That’s the beauty of a winter weekend in Mansfield. It doesn’t take much planning, but it gives you so much back. You can fit it all into one festive day or stretch it into an easy overnight trip.
