Ohio Bird Sanctuary
The Ohio Bird Sanctuary is a haven for native birds, living museum, and a nature preserve located along Clearfork River in Mansfield.
Visitors are able to enjoy seeing birds up-close within our Bird Display Area as well as in our walk-through songbird aviary. Daily keeper talks and special events allow visitors an opportunity to see birds outside of their enclosures as well as ask questions and take pictures.
The Sanctuary sits on 90 acres of land consisting of marsh and old growth forests. Approximately 3 miles of trails offer great birding and hiking opportunities. Visitors are able to enjoy the children’s play area, picnic tables, and gift shop.
The Sanctuary provides family-friendly programming including tours and bird of prey presentations. School groups can schedule a field trip to the Sanctuary. Scheduled programs and special events can also include a visit to the Treehouse Classroom. Handicapped accessible.
