Mansfield/Richland County Public Library
Since opening its doors in 1889 with just 700 books and a single set of the Congressional Record, the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library (MRCPL) has provided free, vital access to information and resources. That commitment will never change. As a bridge connecting our community to opportunities they might not otherwise have, we continue to evolve alongside the digital landscape.
While remaining a trusted home for traditional books, MRCPL is continuously expanding. Through engaging programs and our innovative Library of Things, we offer unique, non-traditional materials you might never expect to find at a library. Today, we are no longer limited by our physical walls. Our “Library on the Go” Bookmobile brings resources directly to Richland County neighborhoods and pop-up events, while the MRCPL mobile app grants 24/7 access to digital materials anytime, anywhere. In a fast-changing global age, we remain deeply rooted locally—serving as a vibrant community hub where people of all ages gather to create, play, learn, and connect.
