The Importance of Being Ernest

Join us for a night of laughter with two comedic plays that showcase the absurdities of life and society.

First up is *The Importance of Being Earnest* by Oscar Wilde, a beloved 1895 satire that pokes fun at Victorian conventions surrounding marriage, class, and morality. This witty tale follows two bachelors who create fictional identities, leading to amusing confusion and romantic misunderstandings. Show dates are October 16, 17, 23, 24 at 8:00 PM, with a matinee on October 25 at 2:30 PM. Auditions will be held on August 29 & 30 at 3:00 PM.

Following that, we present *Farce of Habit* by Jones Hope Wooten, a hilarious Southern romp set at the “Reel ’Em Inn,” a fishing lodge in the Ozarks. Follow proprietor D. Gene Wilburn as he navigates a chaotic weekend filled with caffeine withdrawal, family drama, eccentric guests, and an impending storm, all while dealing with an axe murderer on the loose. Show dates are April 16, 17, 23, 24 at 8:00 PM, with a matinee on April 25 at 2:30 PM. Auditions will take place on February 27 & 28 at 3:00 PM.
