Teddy Bear Concert: Carnival of the Animals

The Teddy Bear Concert: Carnival of the Animals invites young audiences and families to experience the enchantment of live music in an interactive and welcoming setting. This special performance features Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Carnival of the Animals,” enlivened by an engaging script from Michael Thomas. Children and their families will embark on a musical adventure with musicians from the Mansfield Symphony, enjoying storytelling, audience participation, and playful characters inspired by the orchestral masterpiece.

Designed specifically for children ages 2–10, the concert provides a sensory-friendly atmosphere, with small audience sizes, lights on, and lower sound levels. Attendees are encouraged to sit on stage alongside the performers, fostering an immersive environment that allows young listeners to explore music in a friendly way. Ideal for first-time concertgoers, this joyful program introduces children to the wonders of the orchestra while celebrating imagination, movement, and the magic of live performance.
