Speakers: SOAR Study

What if we could transform mental health care and save lives? Too many Ohioans are struggling with their mental and physical health—but together, we can build a healthier future. The SOAR (State of Ohio Adversity and Resilience) study is working to support prevention, treatment, recovery, and resilience across Ohio. Join us on Saturday, April 18 at 1:00 PM to learn how you can be part of this important effort and discover how your participation can make a difference. About the speaker: Dr. Marybel Gonzalez is an adolescent health researcher and assistant professor at The Ohio State University. She has spent the last 20 years working alongside children, youth, families, and communities on research in brain health, substance use, and mental well-being. Dr. Gonzalez is a team member of the State of Ohio Adversity and Resilience Studies, where she has been working to ensure that research with communities in Ohio is grounded in the experiences of the people it is meant to serve and that findings lead to meaningful change in communities. Panera will be provided for attendees who RSVP at least one week in advance! Click “Get Tickets” to be taken to the RSVP website!
