Pumpkin Faces Felting Class

“Take a stab” at needle felting and go home with an adorable pumpkin filled with personality!
Will your pumpkin be comical, spooky, cheerful, or a little mischievous? The choice is yours! Using a barbed felting needle, you’ll sculpt alpaca and wool fibers into a three-dimensional pumpkin face unlike anyone else’s.
Along the way, you’ll learn techniques for shaping and sculpting fiber, adding facial features, and creating expressions that bring your pumpkin to life. You’re welcome to bring a picture of a celebrity or an older person with distinctive facial features for inspiration!
What Is Needle Felting?
Needle felting is the process of repeatedly poking natural fibers with a barbed needle, causing them to interlock and become firm. With a needle, some fiber, and a little imagination, you can create everything from flat designs to detailed three-dimensional sculptures.
Skill Level
This class is suitable for adventurous beginners as well as those with some needle felting experience. The project includes a few more advanced techniques, but step-by-step instruction will be provided.

• Use of felting tools and a foam work surface during class
• Step-by-step instruction in a fun, welcoming environment
Age Guidelines
This class is designed for participants ages 16 and older. Youth ages 12–15 are welcome when registered with an adult companion who is also enrolled in the class.
