Pleasant Hill Hammock Hangout Weekend

Thursday, August 20
7-8pm        Campfire Chronicles Book Club – Discuss The Big Year: A Tale of Man, Nature, and Fowl Obsession by Mark Obmascik, make a craft, and enjoy a snack. All are welcome — whether you’ve finished the book, just started, or simply want to enjoy the atmosphere and conversation! Meet at the campfire ring near the Welcome Center.
 
Friday, August 21                
4-5pm        Nature Center Open – Come to the Nature Room in the Welcome Center to learn how Ohio Wildlife relaxes.
5-7pm        Traveling Program Golf Cart – Watch for the traveling program golf cart with weekend schedules.
8-9pm        BINGO for Adults – Try your luck at this fast-paced game in the Welcome Center.  Be the first to fill your BINGO card to win a two-person hammock. Bring a wrapped $2 prize or candy bar.
 
Saturday, August 22          Hammock Hangout
9-10am      Nature Center Open – Learn how Ohio Wildlife relaxes at the Nature Room in the Welcome Center!
11am-12pm Hammocking 101 – Join staff on the hill above the beach to learn how to hang a hammock
1-2pm        Hammock Hangout – Hang your hammock on the hill above the beach and read, nap, or just hang out with other hammock friends.
3-4pm          Hammock Snacking – Make a bag of trail mix to enjoy in your hammock at the Welcome Center!
5-6pm        Sand Art for Kids – Bring an adult assistant and create a colorful design at the Welcome Center.
7-8pm        Sugar Scrub for Adults – Visit the Welcome Center to create a sugar and coconut butter mixer to help wash away the stress of the day.
9-10pm      Cards and Popcorn – Finish the day with time for friends and family.  Play cards and enjoy some free popcorn in the Welcome Center.
