Mansfield Symphony: “Requiem & Renewal” (Featuring the Mansfield Symphony Chorus)
Experience an evening of profound beauty, reflection, and hope.
Featuring the Mansfield Symphony Chorus, this powerful program begins with Dan Forrest’s acclaimed Requiem for the Living, a deeply moving work that offers comfort and healing for the living rather than mourning for the dead. Blending breathtaking choral writing with moments of intimacy and grandeur, the piece has become one of the most beloved sacred works of the 21st century.
In the second half, the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra performs Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, the composer’s final masterpiece. Filled with brilliant orchestration, vibrant rhythms, and reflections on a lifetime of musical achievement, the work stands as a triumphant celebration of life and artistic legacy.
Together, these extraordinary works guide audiences through a compelling emotional journey—from contemplation and remembrance to resilience, hope, and renewal.
