Charles Mill America 250: Food and Freedom

Join us for the Charles Mill America 250: Food and Freedom celebration from July 24-26, commemorating the 250th anniversary of Charles Mill with a fun-filled weekend of activities for all ages.

**Friday, July 24** kicks off with free coffee and donuts at 10:30 AM, followed by a Paw Print Ornament activity at noon. From 6-7 PM, our traveling program staff will be on golf carts visiting campsites to share 2026 event information and offer a fun craft kit. Bring the family for a BINGO and Ice Cream Social at 7:30 PM, concluding the evening with a dazzling fireworks display over the lake at dusk. Also, enjoy a Doggy Costume Contest and sing Christmas carols around the campfire.

On **Saturday, July 25**, enjoy Breakfast with Santa at 9:30 AM, followed by a Patriotic Craft for Adults at 10:30 AM. Kids can express their creativity during craft time at 1 PM, and at 3 PM, learn about Ohio’s amazing birds of prey during a live presentation. Join us for the America 250 Dinner at 6 PM—registration required—then participate in game night featuring the Price is Right at 7:30 PM, with evening entertainment including live music from The Goods and a foam party at Beach Hill.

Wrap up the weekend on **Sunday, July 26**, with a non-denominational church service at 10:15 AM, followed by a Boat Scavenger Hunt from 1-4:30 PM where participants can earn tickets for prizes while celebrating American History. Enjoy this festive weekend full of holiday cheer, creative activities, and fun for the whole family, including pets!
