Originally gifted to the City by David and Jane Vasbinder on July 4\, 1881\, the cast‑iron fountain is undergoing a full restoration thanks to a generous anonymous donation. The project includes repairing and conserving the ironwork\, cleaning\, repainting\, and addressing corrosion to preserve the fountain’s historic character.
