Sterling and Brass Shot Plate Jewelry at The Mansfield Art Center

Shot plates are a type of impression that can be used to make metal jewelry components. Students will be hammering steel and brass plates that will be used to form the base of your piece of jewelry. The first class will be used to form the base with the shot plate. In the second class smaller impressions can be made to add to your necklace or you can make a stones set in bezel cups to finish your piece.

By the end of the second class you will have completed a one of a kind piece of wearable art. Materials that will be included are sterling silver for the main piece, however, stones and settings can be purchased from your instructor, Teri, for an additional cost for around $20 depending on stone and size chosen.
