SUMMARY:Mansfield United Lions Strides for Diabetes 5K
DESCRIPTION:The Mansfield United Lions Club is sponsoring a 5k Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk in Mansfield on Saturday\, September 11\, called “Strides for Diabetes.” This event is part of our goal for community education and outreach\, with several facets. We would like to encourage people with diabetes to get active and work toward successfully completing a 1 mile walk or 5k walk/run\, and in doing so improve their physical fitness. This event will also allow family members and friends of people with diabetes to participate and show their support. We hope also to raise awareness of the prevalence of diabetes in our community\, and highlight some of the resources available to improve the lives of people with diabetes. \nSign up HERE.  Will be held at Malabar Intermediate (Grades 4-6) Elementary School. \n
