It is a slow art\, requiring an investment of labor and time that seems antithetical to contemporary culture. And yet weaving like computing\, is a binary process. In fact\, the alternating raising and lowering of threads on the loom is said to be an inspiration for the development of the personal computer. Weaving is based on connection\, as threads from two perpendicular systems intersect through selective\, sequential order. The resultant web of embodied threads assumes meaning through color\, pattern\, image\, and physicality.
