Free Movie Screening of The Farewell

This award-winning, critically-acclaimed film premiered at Sundance in 2019. As a young woman learns that her grandmother will soon die, she leaves the United States for a final journey to China to see her. There she must decide if she will join in the family’s “good lie” – the choice to hide her grandmother’s impending death from her.

Presented in collaboration with The Bromfield Library And Information Commons, through a grant from The Ohio State University’s Center for East Asian Studies.
