Join us for a full day of chess excitement hosted by Chess Bus at the Richland Mall in Ontario, Ohio! Whether you’re brand-new to the game or a seasoned competitor, this event has something for everyone.
11:00 AM – Free Lessons, Projector Lecture, & Casual Play
We’ll be in a new dedicated space inside the mall featuring lecture-style seating and a projector display for Coach Carl’s 11AM lesson. This is a perfect opportunity for families, beginners, and anyone curious about the game.
Last time, Coach Carl’s simultaneous lesson was a huge hit—and this setup will make the experience even better.

12:00 PM – Arena Tournament (Trophy + Cash Prizes)
Test your skills in our lively Arena-style tournament. Entry is $15, and Chess Bus supplies all boards and clocks.
Players can jump in or out anytime—points decide the winners, and 1st place earns a trophy plus cash prizes.

3:00–5:00 PM – Open Play
Stay after the tournament for free open play. Meet fellow chess fans, enjoy friendly games, and help build our growing local chess community.
