Chess Day at the Mall

Join us for a full day of chess excitement hosted by Chess Bus at Richland Mall in Ontario, Ohio! Whether you’re brand-new to the game or a seasoned competitor, there’s something here for everyone.
We’ll kick off the day at 11:00 AM with free lessons and casual chess play, a welcoming opportunity for families, beginners, and anyone curious about the game. Last time Coach Carl gave a simultaneous game with lessons and it was a hit.
At Noon, players can test their skills in our lively Arena Tournament featuring a trophy for first place plus cash prizes. Tournament entry is just $15, and Chess Bus will provide all boards and clocks. The Arena format is all play all and players can drop in (and out) as they like–prizes determined by most points won!
To wrap up, stick around for Open Play from 3PM to 5PM — meet fellow chess fans, enjoy friendly games, and help build our growing local chess community.
