Come discover the world of chess with Queen of America winner Kelly Boor (online rating 2500+) and Chess Bus Founder FM Carl Boor! Whether you’re brand new to the game or a seasoned competitor, there’s something for everyone.

11:00 AM – Noon: Free Open Play & Learn with Chess Masters

Learn the basics of how the pieces move

Play your first games in a friendly, no-pressure setting

Ask questions and get tips from national-level players

3pm Announcing the winner of the charity auction for the House of Staunton Chess Set 

 For Competitors

Noon Tournament: Chess Quads

4-player mini-tournaments grouped by skill level

Entry Fee: $25

Format: 3 games, 30 minutes per player

Prizes: $80 first prize per quad

Rated and unrated sections welcome!
