Abe Partridge kicks off the Sunday Songwriter Series in the Spirit Room series on March 19th, 2023. Seating is limited, tickets required.
American Songwriter Magazine says that “Abe Partirdge has established himself as one of the most respected songwriters and visual folk artists in the southeast. “Known for both his viausl folk art and music, he’s also recently added podcasting to his resume with “Alabama Astronaut”; telling the story of music that can only be experienced in the serpent handling churches of the south. He also created art for Tyler Childers’ 2022 release, Can I Take My Hounds To Heaven?
Tony Paris of The Bitter Southerner wrote “He plays guitar the same way he writes lyrics, bashing the strings with abandon until they are just about to come loose, then beautifully picking the notes until every last word falls into place. More to the point, Partridge writes to make you sit up and think. He wants to jar your reality. Sometimes, his lyrics are sly and subtle. Sometimes they come at you with a roar and thunder, as if the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse were approaching, and the heavens were opening up to herald a warning.”
Ticket sales open on January 9th at 12:00pm. There are only 40 seats available for this show – and you’ll want to grab them quickly. This is a small room, offering an intimate and unique singer/songwriter experience. This event takes place upstairs in the Spirit Room at the Phoenix.
