4th of July Fun

Everyone loves some good fun on the 4th of July holiday! Whether you enjoy a dazzling fireworks show or a good cookout, everyone appreciates patriotic fun. There are many events in Mansfield and Richland County for the entire family to attend.

There are multiple firework shows through the holiday weekend. The City of Ontario (July 2nd), Mansfield Motor Speedway (July 2nd) and Charles Mill Lake Park (July 1st) host firework displays during special events. In addition to the fireworks, there are other festivities and events celebrating Independence Day.  Charles Mill Lake Park hosts their Red White & Blue Fest including a beach party, a glow party, games, crafts, fireworks, and nature activities. Pleasant Hill Lake Park has their Independence Day Weekend, an event filled weekend with free canoeing and kayaking, movies at the lake, and a live performance by the band Nasty Habits. Pleasant Hill Lake Park is not showing fireworks for the 4th, however join them on the 15th for fireworks part of their Christmas in July Event. The annual Mansfield Airport Day and Car Show consist of an antique car show as well as on-display aircraft and free airplane rides for kids. Mansfield Motor Speedway presents their Freedom 50 race with Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series. After the race, be sure to stay for the fireworks.
